Question regarding "Allow creator of alert to modify recipients"
AnsweredCould you please clarify if an administrator enables the Allow creator of alert to modify recipients functionality and an individual modifies who gets the email notification-- will the student's success team (ie coach or advisor) still get the email notification, regardless of any modifications made the creator of the alert?
We want the initiator to have the ability to add additional people (For example-- a faculty member initiates an alert for a student who is in the TRIO program. The faculty wants to also notify a TRIO staff member.) HOWEVER, we still want to be able to ensure that the student's success team will always also get the email notification..We would not want the initiator of the alert to have the ability to delete the assigned advisor or coach email address.
Allow creator of alert to modify recipients
When enabled, the creator of the alert can modify the staff recipients of the alert. This does not affect the "Notify Students" setting, nor does it affect who is able to view the alert when they log in. This simply allows the creator to modify who receives an email notification when the alert is created. When disabled, the alert will send to the default staff members, and cannot be changed by the creator of the early alert.

Hi Monica,
As is stands today, if giving permissions to modify recipients, if the initiator of the alert deletes the students success staff, they will not get an email notification. They will still see it in the Activity Feed, Daily Digest and Student Profile, yet the email notification will not be sent if taken off. The only way to overrule this as of right now is to not allow users to modify recipients. This would be an opportunity to submit an Enhancement Request for logic to be put in place outlining that even if accidentally eliminated, the individual(s) assigned to the student will still receive a notification via email.
